Andy joined Vestaron in January 2017 and brings over 20 years of industry experience in agricultural innovation and business development. Andy held management positions at BASF, was Vice President of Business Development at Benson Hill Biosystems, and is on the industry advisory board of ag tech start-up’s, incubators and ag innovation conferences. He has a strong network in agricultural solutions and is an expert in international negotiations. Andy studied biology and received a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Bayreuth, Germany.

Bob has led Vestaron’s R&D activities since 2009. Bob also sits on the IRAC mode of action committee. He has over 25 years of research management experience and has held management positions at Parke-Davis and Pfizer with academic appointments at Columbia University, University of Michigan and Western Michigan Medical School. Bob holds a PhD in organic chemistry from Virginia Tech, followed by an NIH Postdoctoral fellowship at MIT.

Anna joined Vestaron as President & CEO and as Board member in April 2018, bringing more than a decade of experience across multiple venture-backed ag-tech companies. Before that, Anna founded and led as CEO the company NexSteppe to develop and commercialize optimized crops for the biobased economy. Previously, Anna led Commercial and Business Development at Ceres, an agricultural biotechnology company and developer of dedicated energy crops. Anna started her professional career at McKinsey & Co., holds a master’s degree in genetics from the University of Michigan, received her J.D. from Yale Law School, and attended leadership programs at Harvard Business School and Yale School of Management. She currently sits on the board of directors for the Biotech Industry Organization and was the 2016 recipient of the Rosalind Franklin award for female leadership in industrial biotechnology.
